42days! And We Harvesting Sukuma Wiki - Breaking Barriers in Agriculture with Frontier Technology.
As The 4gotten Bottomillions (4BM) supported by the UK-Kenya Tech Hub and our innovative local partners M-Lugha, we have turned the seemingly impossible into reality. Kudos to the UK Tech Hub for believing in us and enabling this vision. In Garissa County, a drought-prone region with annual rainfall of just 200-350mm, primary school children who had never farmed before have successfully grown Sukuma Wiki (kale). Using smart climate agriculture and with us coordinating via 24/7 satellite connectivity, we’ve empowered them to cultivate crops in just 42 days from seedling to harvest.
This is beyond the tech for tech’s sake—it’s a practical demonstration of how frontier technology can transform lives and communities. This partnership reflects our commitment to using frontier technology in practical and impactful ways, and has involved local youth expertise from Kericho county 935KMS away and 14 hour journey - from Cheres Farm and The Palace all under 30 years.
